Dental Check-up at YourDental
Do you dislike visiting the dentist and therefore sometimes postpone your periodic check-up? Many people do this, but postponing is not beneficial for your teeth. It is therefore especially important to schedule at least a semi-annual check-up with the dentist. Your teeth and gums will then be fully checked for irritation and inflammation.
What are the costs of a dental check-up?
The costs of your dental check-up depend on its extent. Unfortunately, periodic dental check-ups for adults are not covered by basic insurance. Any reimbursement of costs must come from your supplementary dental insurance. For children up to 18 years old, the costs for a periodic dental check-up are covered by basic insurance.
Costs for a dental check-up can therefore vary significantly. We understand that you would like to know what costs to expect in advance. You can find more information about this in the table below or on our rates page.
The importance of a dental check-up
During the periodic check-up, a dentist is alert to potential complaints in order to resolve them in advance. If you do not have your teeth checked, you run a higher risk of inflammation that is less easy to treat. You naturally want to prevent that. Sometimes a dental check-up is also necessary to check for tartar. In that case, you will receive a referral to the dental hygienist. You can visit our own dental hygienist at our practice.
